Scattering of a Scalar Plane Wave from a Circularly Symmetric Random Dirichlet Surface

Resumen

The problem of the scattering of a scalar plane wave incident normally on a two-dimensional circularly symmetric Dirichlet surface was discussed. A computational approach was applied to the problem. The approach was applied to the scattering of such a wave from a two-dimensional random surface that acted as a Lambertian diffuser. Multiple-scattering effects of all orders were taken into account by the applied computational approach. The results were obtained on the basis of Kirchoff approximation, and a single-scattering approximation.
